I made something like this but I would have never thought to use oregano!! I know what I’m making Sunday!
Personally I use a garlic press to make the garlic almost spreadable and use softened but not fully melted butter, but the note about the bread needing to be thick is spot on.
Also as beautiful as those babies are bare, would they not be improved tenfold by the addition of mozzarella and another couple minutes under the broiler~?

I’m on a keto diet so standard bread is off the list. I’m gonna try this on Fathead dough instead. Imagine a flatbread…made from CHEESE. Heck yeah.
Or…put the butter mixture in wide enough bowl that you can butter it just like you would batter French Toast…
My mom makes the BEST garlic bread, and it’s basically this recipe plus some paprika
