I wanted to share something interesting with you that my wife taught me regarding bacon…
If you have FROZEN bacon (because that shit is so expensive you have to buy in bulk when its on sale), you can boil it to dethaw it (so you don’t have to think ahead), and in the process of boiling it to dethaw will have the added benefit of boiling out some of the fat/grease, so you’d have less to pat down… just a suggestion from us folks in Korea
PS: The baking vs frying is amazing, I can’t believe we didn’t know about that before.
Just a question though, would you mind posting a brief summary of your recipes with SI units at the bottom of the page? That would be really helpful to us across the pond. It’s not like it’s hard to convert or guess but I for one have no idea how much 1/4 cup is.
My god Man. Between laughing at the comics and your humor, my sides hurt. I think I must make this bacon deliciousness IMMEDIATELY to make me feel better.
This might be the greatest idea anyone has ever come up with. Wish I would have checked the site the day this came out! Maple bacon for my birthday? YES, PLEASE!
Just found your website and I’m REALLY DIGGIN’ IT!!! Congrats on getting picked up for your first book. I am waiting for it to come out. You should do a book signing at Barnes and Nobel at The Grove in Los Angeles!

Anyone try this with sugar free syrup? I’m going low carb and that sounds like it would be amazing.

Nathan: Just skip the maple then. Sugar free syrup will give an off taste.

That’s REAL maple syrup. Note that in Genesis, God made REAL maple syrup before He made bacon.
