Tried this last night. Pretty good, although I think I will try it with vanilla instead of chocolate next time.

  12. Rick Says:

You’re the man. Made “The Bananarama” last night for myself and my girlfriend. It was fucking delicious, and the price is right for such an awesome desert. Keep it up man, great work.

  13. Gnomefan Says:

Fuck Yea. Making it as we speak.

  14. Jake Says:

I just tried it. Can confirm that it is just fine with vanilla ice cream. thanks for keeping it simple, man.

  15. Bo Says:

Trying it AS WE SPEAK. Didn’t freeze the bananas up enough, but it’s still looking excellently tasty.

  16. Gatewalker Says:

This looks delicious. I want to make some, but…I have no blender. Will a food processor work? I have one of those. Probably not, but I’m considering giving it a try anyway.

  17. Luke Says:

I cannot believe you made me move my ass from the computer screen to the laptop screen. (this time on my kitchen counter so I could follow the instructions and do it).

Guess what? turned out great! and it’s delicious!

  25. James Says:

*giggle*… hehe… haha. HAHA.. MWAHAHAHA!!!! MOAR RECIPES!!

  26. Nick Says:

Great idea! However, I have found that adding a bit of milk before blending the bananas helps the process go along much quicker.

  27. Art Says:

Thank god you made this website. I LOVE this comic strip/cookbook.

1-write up a whole bunch of recipes
    2-publish book

This is the bomb dot com. Love your comics, love your geeky references, love your recipes! Well, technically I haven’t tried to make this yet, but it looks like it tastes like heaven and rainbows. Keep being awesome πŸ™‚

  29. FlowingChiaki Says:

Tried an improvised version of this the other night, increasing the amount of frozen bananas and PB to make up for the lack of ice cream (barely a scoop), and added butterscotch chips (due to having no reeses pieces) It turned out pretty good, but after going to the store last night, I’m ready to try the real thing.

As soon as the bananas ripen up a bit. Darn Winco had nothing but green bananas…

  30. jalex Says:

so funny hahaha. thinking of making this myself

  31. Gem Says:

What would be a good substitute for the PB? This looks amazing but I’m allergic to peanuts.

  32. Lele Says:

Gem, I’m sure you could use any nut butter you have on hand. The flavor will only change a little bit to reflect what you use. You could also sub in M&M’s for the Reese’s Pieces.

Nutella in this would be amazing, I’m sure.

  33. Richie Says:

@Gem, maybe this will work? I’m thinking substituting PB with Nutella and the Reeses Pieces with M&Ms. I’m allergic to peanuts as well. Unfortunately I’m not close to anywhere with a kitchen, so I’m going to have to wait for a few months till I get home to give it a shot.

This website is awesome, I can’t wait to see more to come! Keep it up. Looking forward to the cook book! (You know you want to!)

  34. CC-N Says:

  39. Lianne Says:

(That was to the Reese’s. Je t’aime.)

  67. John Says:

I made it yesterday and I agree with che, but I would also add more ice cream, couldn’t even taste the other flavors with all the banana. Other than that, very good and fun to make!
