You’re the man. Made “The Bananarama” last night for myself and my girlfriend. It was fucking delicious, and the price is right for such an awesome desert. Keep it up man, great work.
This looks delicious. I want to make some, but…I have no blender. Will a food processor work? I have one of those. Probably not, but I’m considering giving it a try anyway.
I cannot believe you made me move my ass from the computer screen to the laptop screen. (this time on my kitchen counter so I could follow the instructions and do it).
Guess what? turned out great! and it’s delicious!
keep up with the good work. I like how aggressive your character is! make moar!
Trying it now. Bananas in the freezer as I type. Keep up the good work man. This is the best cooking site I’ve seen. Cooking doesn’t have to be so damn serious! Love it.
This is the bomb dot com. Love your comics, love your geeky references, love your recipes! Well, technically I haven’t tried to make this yet, but it looks like it tastes like heaven and rainbows. Keep being awesome π
Tried an improvised version of this the other night, increasing the amount of frozen bananas and PB to make up for the lack of ice cream (barely a scoop), and added butterscotch chips (due to having no reeses pieces) It turned out pretty good, but after going to the store last night, I’m ready to try the real thing.
As soon as the bananas ripen up a bit. Darn Winco had nothing but green bananas…
Gem, I’m sure you could use any nut butter you have on hand. The flavor will only change a little bit to reflect what you use. You could also sub in M&M’s for the Reese’s Pieces.
@Gem, maybe this will work? I’m thinking substituting PB with Nutella and the Reeses Pieces with M&Ms. I’m allergic to peanuts as well. Unfortunately I’m not close to anywhere with a kitchen, so I’m going to have to wait for a few months till I get home to give it a shot.
This website is awesome, I can’t wait to see more to come! Keep it up. Looking forward to the cook book! (You know you want to!)
Here in Japan, we don’t really have peanut butter, so I used bananas, ice cream, chocolate bar pieces, and crushed up peanuts. Worked like a charm. You are the goddamned MAN.
Hi there, You have done an excellent job. I will definitely digg it and in my view recommend to my friends. I’m confident they will be benefited from this website.
I intentionally made a trip out to the store to get the stuff just for this recipe. (Ok, it got me away from the PITA wife too). I will be making it as soon as my green ass bananas turn yellow. In the mean time, I will check here often. You are my new homepage. (Not really but I figure exaggerating only makes it more awesome).
Keep up the legen…wait for it…dary work and make an effing book, I will buy.
I LITERALLY just made this, and am eating it now π its super delicious, but next time I’m going to only use 2 bananas and smaller scoops of ice cream because the batch I just made looks like it’ll last me all week. also, because i ended up with sooo much bananarama, it took longer to freeze properly
keep up the awesome work :3 your recipes are awesome, as well as entertaining to read!
I am making this first thing tomorrow! I could make it today…but then I’d have to go to the store…and it’s raining and I’m lazy…so TOMORROW. Anyway! I stumbled upon this site and I LOVE all your recipes. It’s cool to see a cooking site that is real and honest and not so serious. When you put out your book, I’m totally buying it!
I just made it. I altered it with peanut butter cups but I have a feeling it will be the same….ish. Keep this up man. You really have a cool concept and who knows, possibly a cookbook.
yea this looks awesome, definitely gonna make it this weekend. p.s. ummm didnt see a ring on that smashin’ hand π lol for real though, keep ’em commin’. π
I made some of this about a month ago and it was glorious. Peanut butter is one of my favorite flavors and bananas are my favorite fruit. I’m gonna make this again and I think I might add some nutella for some hazlenutty taste!
Just made it tonight, pretty tasty indeed! I left it in the freezer for an extra 40 mins though, to give it more of an ice cream texture. And personally, I think it should be 2 scoops of peanut butter π
I made it yesterday and I agree with che, but I would also add more ice cream, couldn’t even taste the other flavors with all the banana. Other than that, very good and fun to make!
Just so you know, this site stole your work WITHOUT giving you credit. I couldn’t find your email to give this to you, so I’m posting this here, hoping you get email notifications about new comments! http://www.amazfacts.com/2011/09/yummy-frozen-banana-treat-21-pics.html <== Link to page with your content!
