This looks amazing, this coming from someone who thinks bread pudding is awful. I will be trying this soon! Keep up the good work!

It’s recipes like this that made me support you on Patreon. I have your book and learned to cook by it. My friends all think I’m a culinary genius even though I’ve shown them your book over and over. I can’t wait to try this one and see what they think.

Chocolate chips in bread pudding is a less traditional choice. You can go with many other options — raisins, pecans, walnuts, apple slices, et al. You can spice it up with cinnamon and/or nutmeg, which just go in with the eggs. Note that this is really just a fancy way to make french toast, so this can be reheated in the AM as breakfast. We have a recipe that replaces bourbon with apple jack, which is not available in Canuckistan, regrettably. Rum, brandy, or any other liquor you enjoy would work, or replace with honey or maple syrup for those that prefer no alcohol. Maybe Kahlua, even? I recommend you experiment.

I’ve always wanted to try my hand at making a bread pudding.

Love your recipes and I especially like these simple-but-fancy ones.
